As we crossed the Tijuana boarder and headed towards the Rosarito coastline vacay mode washed over me. Truth is I'm no stranger to the endlessly winding winery roads and I knew we were heading for a day of freshly caught fish dishes, sipping tequila and strolling threw authentic artisan owned shops. And what made the anticipation of getting out of dodge even more exciting?! We were headed to a surprise spot I had never been to and I was dressed up in the newest threads from one of our March Gwapa Gals, Get GLOU. Keep reading to follow me through Ensenada's wine country and discover my all-time favorite places to sip, chomp and sleep. 

First stop was none other than Casa Frida. Think bright, think color, think tons of unique spots to take some shots for the gram, including ceiling to floor gold angels wings, a truck graffitied with frida/diego and overflowing with succulents AND even the bathroom stalls are covered in the artist's most iconic moments and a bright yellow flower wall. Beyond that the ENTIRE spot is drenched in Frida-inspired decor. Not only that but there's multiple restaurants and bars to visit on this one property so you could literally find yourself wandering between the outdoor over water patio to the dark speakeasy like tequila tasting room for hours. No surprise then that I was thrilled to be wearing the new March Gwapa Gal Frida Collection by Get Glou. I rocked the Loose Frida Top and Scarf with Biker Shorts, cheetah boots, The Noor Jacket and even the new Yoink in Sky & Cotton Candy Checker Earrings which can all be found today in The Gwapa Gal Shop. In total honesty it was the most comfortable (and of course KEWT!) lewk I've worn in a hot minute + all the items/brands linked above are artist made & female owned so I swear I even felt Frida rolling in her grave with pride!

We started with a tequila tasting and I will say - if you love tequila that's all you gurl - but if you're just in it for the experience, one tequila flight is more than enough to split with a girlfriend. ;) Take your tequila buzz with you and continue to explore the property, like I mentioned theres a few yummy spots to eat and even an air bnb (must be booked in advance) if you want to let your Frida flag fly into the night. 

Next up, King and Queen Cantina for some grub to soak up some of that tequila  from our tasting at Casa Frida. Before we even talk about the eclectic decor we have to get into the food. Must orders are the bone marrow, the oyster ceviche, the tuna tostada and the tacos. With the tacos you can't go wrong but the go-to move is to order the house taco selection. If you're keeping the party train rolling you will NOT be disappointed by their drink menu. Over the top margaritas like tamarindo, pepino, fresa, sandia or even a vibrant orange fresh mango slushy margarita that towers sky high. When you're done micromanaging the waiter and you take a look around you'll enjoy being surrounded by a lush vineyard back drop on one side and a grunge/punk graffiti aesthetic inside. Next store there's even a wine tasting room and sweet little gift shop for perusing whenever you need to take a quick taco break.
