MEET GWAPA GAL: JAMILA
I am a San Francisco based artist and maker. By day I work as a Software Engineer at a creative company, but my drive to create is where my passion lies. My work over the years has ranged from murals to welded steel sculpture, working with fabrics to make clothing and using plants to do natural dyeing, to ceramics, wirework, and illustration. My recent laser cut jewelry work is designed to be accessible, and much of the Sea Glass line was inspired by the ocean and a recent trip to Tahiti. When I'm not working and creating art, you can usually find me in the kitchen.
MEET GWAPA GAL: GEMMA
Wanting to feel more like herself while staying functional and cozy - because wearing [insert big outdoor brand] never felt quite right, Gemma designed a small collection of her ideal fleeces - from all dead stock materials, to bridge the gap between dressing up and being dressed way down and Grön Kulle - a line of jackets that you can wear just as easily on a hike or over a cute outfit, was born.
